The REAL Reasons to Write Books

These days, most people now know me from my social media presence or 10X Growth Conference. However, there are still those who know who I am because I write books — eleven of them. But, why would a sales guy decide to become an author in the first place? Here’s why…

Reason #1 to Write a Book: Help Others

Now, I never planned to write books — ever. And when I went to write, “Sell or Be Sold,” I still wasn’t sure. This is what was going on…

It was the economic crash of 2008, and my wife and I were on the verge of losing everything…

The auto industry I built my sales career was at a standstill…

All of my assets were frozen and the banks wanted the debt paid off NOW…

IT WAS ONE OF THE FEW TIMES IN MY LIFE I ALMOST GAVE UP.

But, my wife Elena snapped me out of it and told me to go into my office and “figure it out.” A few hours later, I had the first draft of the manuscript in my hands.

Nevertheless, I did not write the book to “make money” to turn our situation around. The reason came to me when I had a massive realization that day…

THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS I HAVE CAN HELP PEOPLE.

On top of that, I was positive that that information could be a solution for others in the same boat as me. At the same time, it also showed me there was a way out to begin with.

And, that brings me to the next reason to write books…

Reason #2: Do it For Yourself

It may sound selfish but when you write a book, it can build your confidence and certainty like nothing else.

If nothing else, it clarifies and reignites your purpose to continue going after your major goals and be successful.

Additionally, it is an account of who you are that anyone can pick and read.

So what are you waiting for?

Write your book and be great.
